Limbo nasce dalle possibilità, figurativa e musicale, di esprimere un’ idea, dapprima in pittura, disegno o tecnica mista, dopodiché in musica.. Il risultato è una suggestiva miscellanea di generi (dal jazz, al classico, alla melodia etnica italiana, al progressive) legati al tema espressivo e visivo delle opere associate ad ogni brano musicale.

Limbo is based on the two ways, figurative and musical, of expressing an idea.Some P. Didoni’s works of art are shown on a screen on stage and, afterward, their theme will be developed in a music way. The result is an evocative mixture of different genres linked to the expressive and visual theme of the works of art.

Propone un insieme di brani che rivelano il retaggio classico dell’autrice misto a canoni di improvvisazione jazzistica. Si ispira a situazioni e persone del vissuto personale: le melodie essenziali tracciano piccoli “bozzetti” musicali.
Le composizioni sono realizzate in spartiti classici ovvero scritti interamente, con l’aggiunta di sezioni improvvisative libere, l’interprete puo’ quindi esprimersi all’interno di ogni brano secondo le emozioni del momento.

The project is linked to the CD PIANOFORTISSIMO, produced by IDEA PRODUZIONI MUSICALI and distributed in digital by CD BABY.
It features a series of pieces that give out the author’s classical background together with improvised jazz jammings. It is inspired by situations and people from her personal experience: the essential melodies draw little musical “sketches”.
The compositions are made from classical scores, which are completely written, together with free improvisation sessions. The interpreter can thus express herself completely throughout according to the feelings she’s experiencing.
